Manpower Group Administrative Assistant in Salinas, California

Assistant is responsible for assisting the program manager with tasks in preparation for and throughout the upcoming season. These tasks include but are not limited to, setting candidate appointments, data entry and processing of forms, and assisting candidates with statement filing. Dress is business casual.

Schedule

Start Date: April 23rd

Initially will match office hours, Monday to Friday 8-5, with longer hours as we get closer to the election, including late evenings, weekends, and possibly early mornings.

Typical employment cycle includes late April to late June and late September to late November.

Qualifications and skills

  • Proficient with computers, phones and office technology

  • Demonstrate an advanced level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Excellent data entry skills and experience with databases

  • Able to complete alpha-numeric sorting, prepare mail and other office tasks

  • Capable of working with confidential information

  • Willing to work overtime, including weekends, when necessary

  • Great interpersonal skills in a fast-paced small office environment with strict deadlines

  • Communicate effectively and professionally in English over the phone, in person, and via email with a broad and diverse customer base

  • Able to multi-task with minimal direction

  • Must be able to perform repetitive tasks

  • English/Spanish bilingual and biliterate skills highly desirable

Mail Assistant

Job Description

Mail Assistant is responsible for assisting the program manager with tasks in preparation for and throughout the upcoming season. These tasks include but are not limited to, updating and creating spreadsheets and documents, data entry and processing of applications and forms, assisting in the coordination of ballot pickups at locations throughout the County, and assisting front counter staff. Dress is business casual.
