Lowe's Loss Prevention & Safety Spec in San Jose, California
Prevent inventory shrinkage and deter criminal activity by implementing training and loss prevention procedures, overseeing inventory levels, and monitoring Lowe's video surveillance systems. Also responsible for investigating and resolving issues related to criminal activity or company policy violations. May need to respond to potentially violent and/or physical altercations and will therefore need the ability to make quick, effective decisions and maintain an appropriate level of composure. Conducts safety checks, controls and ensures adherence to safety regulations, and identifies opportunities for improvement or gaps in training to increase the success of loss prevention programs within assigned store.
Requires morning, afternoon, and evening availability any day of the week.
High school diploma or equivalent and 1 years relevant work experience (e.g., retail or loss prevention) OR Associate's Degree or higher.
Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Safety, Business, or related loss prevention field.
National certified training program (Wicklander-Zuwalski or Reed training).
Professional accreditation, such as LPQ, or equivalent experience.
Six months experience conducting quality reviews/audits.
Demonstrated experience conducting retail investigations (has conducted at least one retail investigation).
Experience in using physical security systems (CCTV, EAS, etc.).
