Job Description

As a Full Stack Engineer, you will work on complex application projects alongside your team and implementing proof-of-concept prototypes for data collection, analysis, and presentation. You will develop data analytic techniques to pull insight out of large data sets, with access to the largest ecommerce repository of closed loop buyer, query, demand, and transaction data. An example project would be developing algorithms to map buyer locations and engagement.

You create the infrastructure and applications that improve the lives of millions of people every day around the globe. And you take on some of the most complex technical problems to help all of our customers win.

Responsibilities include:

Architect solutions and execution through hands-on development, quality-assurance, and prototyping

Deliver code in an Agile software development using test-driven development methodologies.

Participate in development life cycle activities like design, coding, testing and production release.

Partner closely with product to craft great product experiences.

Participate and promote architectural initiatives, balancing long-term velocity with short-term customer needs.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent in computer science or related field with minimum of 10 years of directly related work experience.

  • Excellent knowledge of programming languages, especially Java

  • Experience in developing high performance, scalable and highly available web services using J2EE and frameworks such as RESTEasy and Jersey

  • Good understanding of web services and SOA related standards like REST/OAuth/JSON and SOAP/WSDL.

  • Experience of developing scalable web applications using Node.js, Express, React/Angular

  • Experience in at least one scripting language such as Python or Ruby.

  • Knowledge and experience working with various data sources like web services (rest, soap), unstructured data files, flat files, message queues, xml based events, databases.

  • Experience with Unix/ Linux and shell scripting

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proven track record on delivering results, especially in the area of writing high-performance, reliable and maintainable code.

  • Ability to adapt to new development environments, changing business requirements and learning new systems highly desired.

  • Ability to work well in a team environment and be able to effectively drive cross-team solutions that have complex dependencies and requirements in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong technical vision, presentation and technology leadership skills.

  • Ability to coach and mentor fellow team members
